OrOrbit is in pre-launch. Downloads, accounts, and sponsorship open at launch.

Fully yours. From the start.

A self-hosted chat & voice platform with no subscriptions, no data harvesting, and no limits on customization. Just you and your friends.

Self-hosted

Your server runs on hardware your group controls. Messages, files, and voice data never touch our servers.

Identity on your device

No email. No phone number. No central account. Your identity is an encrypted file only you can unlock. For convenience, an optional central account is also available.

Privacy first

No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party trackers. Messages and voice stay on the server you control.

OrOrbit running on a self-hosted server — chat, voice channels, and member roster.

Chat, voice, and video — built in.

Everything you'd expect from a modern platform, running on hardware you control.

Rich messaging

Reactions, embeds, GIFs, file uploads, search, pins, and replies. Everything you'd expect from a modern chat.

Voice & screen sharing

Low-latency voice chat with on-device noise suppression. Share your screen for live streaming, gaming sessions, or working together with friends.

Easy self-hosting

Download OrOrbit Server, run the setup wizard, and you're live. No command line required, no Docker knowledge needed.

Local-first identity

Your identity is a file on your device — not an account on someone else's server. For those who prefer simplicity, a traditional account option is available through OrOrbit Pulsar.

Cross-platform

Native app for Windows today — macOS and Linux coming soon. Self-host on Windows now; Mac and Linux support coming soon.

See it in action.

Live captures from a real running server — chat, voice, customization, pins.

Markdown, emoji, file uploads, link embeds — drop-in modern chat.
Always-on voice rooms — click to join, no call to start.
Pin the moments that matter. Find them again in one click.
Six profile-card layouts, per-server identities, real presence.
Themes, layouts, profile cards, naming packs — all in one panel.
Three-step setup wizard. No command line, no Docker required.

Why OrOrbit?

A platform that respects your data, your wallet, and your time.

100%
yours

Self-hosted on hardware you control. Your data never leaves your network. No cloud dependency, no third-party access.

Zero
data harvesting

No analytics, no third-party trackers, no upstream data flows. What happens on your server stays on your server.

3 steps
to deploy

Download OrOrbit Server, run the setup wizard, share an invite link. Live in minutes, not hours.

No accounts. No central database.

Your identity is a file. Not an account on our server.

1

Create your identity

Pick a display name, set a password, and OrOrbit generates an encrypted identity file.

2

Save the file

Your identity lives in a small encrypted file. Back it up like any important document.

3

That file IS your account

Use it to log into any OrOrbit server. No email, no central database, no third party. For those who prefer convenience, an optional account through Pulsar is also available.

Host for your friends

Your PC = your server. Like a Minecraft server, but for chat and voice — and you can run as many Orbits on it as you want.

Every message, image, file, and voice call from every Orbit on your server lives on YOUR hardware — not in someone else's cloud. You decide who joins, and you can shut it down whenever you want.

1

Download OrOrbit Server

A standalone app for Windows today (macOS and Linux coming soon). Separate from the client — install it on whatever machine you want to host from.

2

Run the setup wizard

The wizard configures the database, voice relay, and connectivity automatically. No command line needed.

3

Share with friends

Send your friends an invite link. They download OrOrbit, click the link, and they're in.

Server hosting available on Windows today — macOS and Linux coming soon.

Your friends connect. It just works.

Three layers of connectivity so nobody gets left out.

Zero Config

OrOrbit auto-detects your router and opens ports automatically via UPnP. Nothing to configure.

One Port

If UPnP isn't available, a built-in tunnel handles chat while a relay server carries voice.

Full Control

Power users can forward ports manually for maximum performance and zero middlemen.
